DJI Phantom 4 Advanced Quadcopter Drone 4K UHD
The Phantom 4 Advanced Quadcopter from DJI features the same 1" CMOS sensor seen on the Phantom 4 Pro. The Phantom 4 Advanced comes with an improved camera over the original Phantom 4, with a 1-inch sensor, which can shoot 4K video at 60FPS.
What is the difference between the Phantom 4 Advanced and Phantom 4 Professional
The Phantom 4 Advanced inherits most of the functions of the Phantom 4 Pro. However, in order to increase affordability, unlike the Phantom 4 Pro the Phantom 4 Advanced does not have rear vision sensors and two infrared sensors in its FlightAutonomy system. Also, its remote controller does not support the 5.8 GHz frequency band and Tapfly Backward has been removed.
What is new with the Phantom 4 Advanced?
Sense and Avoid : A range of sensors combine with advanced image processing to enable the craft to now actively avoid obstacles.
Tap to Fly : Fly without touching the sticks, simply double-tap the screen to fly forward.
Active Track : Track and follow user-selected moving items thanks to the computerised visual tracking system.
Sport Mode : Increases top speed to 44mph, ups max pitch to 45 degrees and other adjustments for high performance flying.
Extended flight time : The Phantom 4 now flies for up to 30 minutes thanks to aerodynamic design advances and optimisations.
Further Features At-A-Glance:
Avoid obstacles automatically.
Smart Return Home allows the Phantom to avoid obstacles as it returns home.
30 minute maximum fight time, maximum control range of 4.3mi (7km).
Maximum speed of 44mph (72kmh).
Integrated gimbal for greater camera stability and smoother footage.
Optimized Vision Positioning System raises positioning altitude up to 10 meters.

Cutting-edge MATERIALS AND REFINED AERODYNAMICS
The Phantom 4’s sleek new streamlined form minimizes buffeting when flying in strong winds/against gusts from any angle, keeping its movements precise. A sleek integrated-gimbal raises the center of gravity closer to the core, boosting stability.
New flight Modes
The Phantom 4 is introduces new flight modes covering all flying demands. In Position mode you can use satellite and Vision Positioning, the (all new) TapFly, ActiveTrack and Intelligent Flight Modes. The brand new sport mode adds extra agility and speed, reaching 45mph (72kph) while maintaining satellite and Vision Positioning systems. Atti holds the Phantom’s altitude and level but switches off satellite positioning making it ideal for smooth film making movements.
FLY FURTHER, FOR LONGER
The Phantom 4's all new 4S 5870mAh battery enables the craft to fly for 30 minutes (dependent on atmospheric conditions and piloting). The latest revision of lightbridge technology allows a 4.3m/7km control range (in clear conditions) with fantastic 720p HD video downlink.
Newly designed prop mounts allow each prop to be securely locked in place with a push and a twist and released just as easily. This locking mechanism allows the propeller to withstand harsh turning forces.
Sensors for Avoidance
The Phantom 4 features a pair of forward obstacle sensors enabling it to 'see' in 3D. If the craft approaches an obstacle in normal flight mode it will stop and hover. In Tapfly, ActiveTrack and Return-Home modes it will avoid or hover. Uprated paired sensors on the bottom of the Phantom offer a large increase in the quadcopters positioning accuracy allowing great control when flying indoors.
Flying with with transmitter sticks can be hard, so this new mode enables you to fly the Phantom simply by double tapping the screen of your phone or tablet. This enables you to concentrate on controlling the camera for the best shot. Combined with its new obstacle avoidance abilities, the Phantom can get you into shooting positions you previously might have considered impossible. You can also activate the Smart Return home from the DJI GO App.
Using advanced computer vision, object recognition and machine learning, the Phantom 4 can track you whether you are running, driving cycling or more. Circling a moving object now couldn't be easier. Note that when ActiveTrack is running, the obstacle avoidance is in full effect allowing the craft to decide if it should continue following, avoid or stop and hover when it nears an obstacle.
CAMERA WITH 1-INCH 20MP SENSOR
The onboard camera is equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor. A custom engineered lens made up of eight elements is arranged in seven groups. A mechanical shutter is used to eliminate rolling shutter distortion which can occur when taking images of fast moving subjects or when flying at high speed. In effect, it is as powerful as many traditional ground cameras. More powerful video processing supports H.264 4K videos at 60fps or H.265 4K at 30fps, both with a 100Mbps bitrate. Excellent optical performance, sensors and processors ensure everything is captured with high dynamic range and more image detail needed for advanced post-production.
The Phantom 4 features an all-new gimbal to stabilise the camera. The new u-frame design is now built-in to the base of the craft and is linked to the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) so it appears to second guess the craft's movements. Coupled with its custom dampers, the platform is capable of smooth cinematic footage.
DJI Go App
The familiar DJI GO app is all you need to fly, create, share, and connect. Download it here for iOS or here for Android to check compatibility with your device before purchase.
INTELLIGENT FLIGHT POSITIONING
The Phantom reads data from up to 24 satellites to give you more accuracy, keeping you in control of your flight. Combining data from GPS and GLONASS systems, it is completely aware of its starting point, location and relation to pilot throughout its flight. This intelligence means it knows its last position, provides return to home, shows you where it is on a map and much more.
It is possible (although rare) that inconsistencies in compass or IMU data might affect the way an aircraft behaves. The Phantom 4 features two compass modules and twin Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) allowing it to constantly compare the data it is receiving. This is run through advanced algorithms to check accuracy, discarded inaccuracies without affecting flight.
AUTOMATIC FLIGHT LOGS
Complete flight routes, duration, distance, location, and speed are all recorded, enabling you to replay a previous flight path and even check your control stick movements. Cached versions of any photos and videos taken during your flights are kept on your device for future reference. An advanced flight recorder constantly records data from its internal mechanisms, which you can choose to share with the DJI support team should you have any questions.
CUSTOMISABLE REMOTE CONTROLLER
All the controls on the Phantom 4 can be completely customized to match your flying style, from control stick sensitivity to the functionality of dedicated buttons.
